The Trust Stool challenges the notion of safety which a strut usually provides. To sit, the user must take an intentional leap of faith. The stool's base comprises one central supporting pillar, circled by six slanted legs. When viewed standing passively, the stool's six outer legs hover mid-air, offering no stability. In sitting - tilting from the central pillar onto any two outer legs - the sitter must make a deliberate act of choice and trust.
