Struts form an integral structural component for many objects. The tripod as a form has been a successful structure for many thousands of years, from basic cooking implements – think three sticks fashioned together to hold a pot over fire –to camera tripods, which provide stability to take clearer photos and videos – to highly advanced moon landing spacecraft. The Space Rock Landing Craft Table light makes use of a double-strut tripod design that echoes the design of these objects, while providing a balanced structure to suspend its light-emitting rock above the table’s surface.
