Sorrow Laid Abed With Spring Begat an Earthly Bliss

Inspired by William Morris's poem "Spring's Bedfellow," the cabinet's lush carving depicts a verdant garden of mystical flora and fauna, sprouting from the ruins of a place long forgotten. Despite the passing storm, the wildflowers remain entwined in a dance of fervent passion, their tendrils climbing toward bronze handles that twist like tangled vines; each adorned with garnet cabochons, glinting like sweet nectar caught in the dark.
