Off The Shelf Anchor Lamp

Jonas Stokke runs a design studio in Oslo, working with manufacturers on furniture, lighting and storage. Off the Shelf is his ongoing project on standard industrial components: ventilation duct, hardware fittings, parts anyone can order, treated as raw material rather than compromise. The Anchor Lamp comes almost entirely from marine chandlers, a catalogue Stokke knows from a life on the Oslofjord, and is ballasted with stone from the shoreline it was designed on.
