Magic Woods Chair

Stefanie Haining is a New York-based ceramic artist and designer whose work explores the narratives, histories, and symbols embedded in familiar objects. Working meticulously by hand, but drawing inspiration from mass-manufactured souvenirs and keepsakes from her own past, Stefanie creates work that is both personal and universal. The highly detailed glazing and illustration in her work is central to that storytelling, accumulating meaning the way memory does. Trained at RISD in illustration and furniture design, she brings that same instinct — for image-making and object-making alike — to work that moves fluidly between sculpture, craft, and functional object.
