Light Work Chair

Benjamin Kapoor is a New York based artist and designer whose practice moves between sculpture, furniture, and functional objects. Trained in industrial design, his work combines material experimentation with advanced fabrication techniques, using processes and materials ranging from fiberglass, composites, metal, and wood to sand and paint. Across both art and design, Kapoor is interested in the tension between organic and engineered form, surface and structure, and the shifting boundary between an object that is observed and one that is used.
