Fairies Wear Boots

Distilling the concept of ‘strut’ to both its structural formality as well as its connection to drag and sashay pageantry, Realm looked towards ancient Etruscan tripod vessels as objects that convey both concepts in tandem. Often used to support cauldrons or braziers and fabricated with bronze struts terminating in cabriole hoofed feet. We sought to reinterpret these classic artifacts into an extraterrestrial table top object that could support anything from a cauldron to an ashtray, lamp, or candle.
