Mark works in materials such as corrugated cardboard, EPS foam, wood, leather, bronze, and gold leaf. The work moves between these materials without much ceremony, casting a cardboard form in bronze or gilding a piece of packing foam. All this on the premise that ordinary materials, when treated with care, can hold the same weight and attention as anything more expensive.
